Eligibility for CHAS Subsidies

From 1 September 2025, eligible individuals will be able to receive government subsidies for the shingles vaccine under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) at CHAS-accredited clinics. Those eligible for subsidies may include:

Government subsidies from 1 September 2025

From 1 September 2025, eligible individuals will be able to receive government subsidies for the shingles vaccine under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) at CHAS-accredited clinics.
Those eligible for subsidies may include:

  • Singapore Citizens aged 60 and above
  • Singapore Citizens aged 18 and above with certain medical conditions
  • Pioneer and Merdeka Generation seniors, who may receive additional subsidies
About the vaccine:
  • Number of doses: 2 doses, given 2 to 6 months apart
  • Type of vaccine: Non-live, recombinant vaccine
  • Administration: Intramuscular injection
  • Common side effects: Redness or soreness at the injection site, fatigue, headache, or mild fever
