An annual flu vaccination is recommended to maintain our immunity against new strains of the influenza virus. Frequency: Flu season in Singapore is from November to February (Northern Hemisphere), and May to July (Southern Hemisphere). The flu shot takes around 2 weeks to be effective, hence it’s better to get vaccinated early.

All adults are recommended to take a flu vaccination yearly, especially at-risk individuals with weaker immune systems
For seniors (65+ y.o.)
Elderly aged 65 years and older are recommended to receive flu vaccine on annual basis
For children (6m-17 y.o)
NCIS recommends influenza vaccinations to all healthy children who are aged 6 – 59 months and any age child in a high-risk group
