SINGAPORE, 19 January 2022 – Singapore headquartered regional tech-led healthcare company, Doctor Anywhere (DA), has moved into a large new office space of almost 15,000 sq ft to accommodate its growing team. Occupying the entire Penthouse unit on the 40th storey of mTower, the move comes in the wake of the company’s successful Series C financing round (August 2021), one of the largest private funding rounds raised by a healthtech company in Southeast Asia and supports DA’s continued growth as they strive to become the most prominent tech-enabled omnichannel healthcare provider in the region. In the coming months, the DA team is expected to grow by 50% from the current 450+-strong team, with new hires across all departments. In Singapore, DA will be adding over 200 new roles to double the size of its regional headquarters.
A hybrid approach to working
With floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing unobstructed sea and city views, the new DA office offers a combination of workstations, café-style booths and collaboration tables. Designed by workplace design and build company Conexus Studio, the space caters to around 70% of the total DA workforce capacity. Following an employee poll concluding that most prefer a hybrid approach to WFH and meeting physically; DA employees will be free to return to the office as they wish for social connections, meetings, and collaboration.
The Singapore headquarters is home to many DA teams, including tech and product, operations and customer service, and commercial and marketing teams. Corporate functions such as finance, legal, and people & culture are also based in the new office, alongside the regional growth team, who provide connection, expertise and guidance to DA’s various markets as they continue to expand their presence across Southeast Asia.
“As the Doctor Anywhere team continues to grow, it was important for us to create a space where colleagues can feel relaxed and inspired. It’s been a pleasure to see the space come to life, and we cannot wait to welcome the whole DA team back when it’s safe to do so,” said Shux Mazur, VP, People & Culture at DA.
Facilitating unstructured collaboration
A central pantry, stocked with snacks and drinks, leads into a spacious training room. The two spaces can be opened up to enable All-Hands sessions for employees. The DA Training Academy, which hosts training sessions for frontline medical teams, will now operate from the new training room, enabling frontline colleagues to form connections with the HQ team. The space will also facilitate various classroom opportunities for learning and development as employees return to the workplace.
Elsewhere, cosy corners and a multitude of open seating areas encourage employees to strike up impromptu conversations, encouraging cross-team collaboration and inspiration.
Prioritising employee wellbeing
An incredible sea-facing terrace houses an al fresco yoga deck. Amongst the DA team are several yoga and fitness fanatics, who plan to host sessions for colleagues throughout the working week to destress and stay productive. Coffee enthusiasts can also enjoy coffee-making sessions on the in-house La Marzocco coffee machine. Others can relax over a game at the foosball table, or simply kick-back on a massage chair at the relaxation corner with a book from the bookshelf of self-improvement and business related titles.
“As we continue our growth, DA will be adding over 200 roles before the end of 2022, doubling our current headcount in Singapore. This new space will continue to foster our collaborative spirit as we continually provide healthcare to users anytime, anywhere,” said Wai Mun Lim, CEO and Founder of Doctor Anywhere.
