What is Erectile Dysfunction?
ED is the inability to get or maintain an erection during sex. A common reason for ED is when blood flow to your penis is impacted – possibly caused by age, underlying health conditions, or even tobacco and alcohol use. ED can also be caused by mental health stressors.
How is Erectile Dysfunction treated?
No treatment plan is the same – your doctor will tailor a personalised plan, based on your lifestyle habits and health condition. MOH-approved ED medication is one of our treatment options, along with lifestyle changes or adjusting the dosage of any other medication you’re taking.
These treatments work by improving blood flow to help achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity.
If further assessment is needed, the GP may refer you to a urologist or specialist for further care, particularly if the ED may be related to an underlying health issue.

ED medication does have some side effects, although these are typically quite mild and brief. Common side effects of ED medication include headaches, dizziness, stomach discomfort and body aches.
