1. Berries
Berries are jam-packed with nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants. Apart from their bountiful benefits on your health, they’re also a tasty accompaniment to desserts, salads or smoothies.
2. Nuts and seeds
Nuts and seeds are rich sources of fibre, protein and healthy fats, and filled with anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. As such, they defend the body from cell damage by free radicals. Studies have also reported their protection against heart disease. Common examples include almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, macadamias and chia seeds, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds.
