Positive Parenting Workshop

This event is part of Wellness Festival Singapore (WFS) 2023! WFS is a line-up of wellness activities and experiences that promote holistic wellbeing in the City in Nature.

Positive Parenting is an approach to raising children that focuses on promoting their emotional and behavioural development through positive reinforcement, empathy, and effective communication.

Some key principles of positive parenting include setting clear and consistent expectations and boundaries, encouraging positive behaviour through praise and rewards, listening to children and showing empathy, and using constructive discipline strategies that focus on teaching rather than punishing.

If you are currently expecting and/or parents of children who are below 7 years old, come learn more about Positive Parenting through a workshop led by Jacinth Liew (Parent Coach, Our Little Play Nest) covering the following topics:

– To educate parents about positive parenting and its impact on the parent-child relationship

– To provide parents with a better understanding of the brain science behind tantrums and how to effectively manage them

– To empower parents with practical and actionable strategies that can help them co-regulate with their children during challenging moments

The workshop will be followed by a panel discussion thereafter together with our Pediatrician, Dr Katrina Heng, Jacinth as well as Yvon Bock, Founder and CEO of Hegen Pte Ltd.
