The rising costs of living is an issue that’s been on top-of-mind for most of us. However, medical expenses shouldn’t stop us from staying on top of our health ! Thankfully, Singapore citizens are entitled to subsidised preventive healthcare services at participating GP clinics, including at DA Clinics.
Here’s what you need to know about the subsidies available for getting vaccinated and regular health checks in Singapore.
Subsidised preventive healthcare services at CHAS-GP clinics
Vaccinations
- Influenza
- Pneumococcal
- Tetanus, reduced diphtheria and acellular pertussis
- Human papillomavirus (HPV)
- Hepatitis B
- Measles, mumps and rubella
- Varicella
CHAS subsidies are available, based on your eligibility
Health Screenings (Under Screen for Life)
- Chronic Diseases (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol and obesity)

- Breast Cancer
Subsidised Vaccinations (Nationally Recommended Vaccines by MOH)
Getting vaccinated is important as it keeps us from falling ill against preventable diseases. On top of ensuring that we stay in good health, it also helps to reduce the burden on our healthcare system.
Vaccinations recommended under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) and National Childhood Immunisation Schedule (NCIS) are subsidised, for eligible Singapore residents. You can also find the full list of vaccine brands here.
National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS)
There’s no need to apply for the subsidy. However, it’s best to book an appointment before heading down to the clinic, to ensure that your vaccine is in stock. You can make appointment to get vaccinated at our islandwide DA clinics online.
The subsidised fee for vaccinations depends on your profile:
- Eligible Pioneer Generation cardholders: capped at $9 to $16 per dose
- Eligible Merdeka Generation, CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders: capped at $18 to $31 per dose
- Other eligible adult Singaporeans: capped at $35 to $63 per vaccination dose
National Child Immunisation Schedule (NCIS)
The subsidised fee for child vaccinations on NCIS is $0 for eligible Singaporean children.
For children: In addition to the subsidised childhood vaccines, you can also schedule a childhood developmental screening during the same check-up. When making your appointment, check in with the clinic staff on whether your child is due for a screening.
Singaporean children up to 12 years old can also access medical services and treatment under the Baby Bonus Scheme, at Baby Bonus Approved Institutions.
Subsidised Health Screenings (under Screen for Life)
What is Screen for Life (SFL)?
Screen for Life is a national programme that provides subsidised screenings, based on your age and gender. Generally, the recommended tests are for:
- Chronic Disease Screening – for those 40 years old and above
- Cervical Cancer Screening – for females 25 years old and above
- Colorectal Cancer Screening – for those 50 years old and above
- Breast Cancer Screening – for females 50 years old and above
Where can I get screened?
Similar to the subsidised vaccinations, you can arrange an SFL screening at CHAS clinics, which includes our DA clinics.
Book an appointment before heading down to our clinics, to save yourself some waiting time for your screening.
- Before heading down for your appointment, do check Screen for Life webpage on specific instructions on how to prepare for your screening.
- Remember to bring along your NRIC and MG/PG/valid CHAS card to the appointment, so that you’ll be eligible for the subsidised rate (up to $5, for your tests).
On top of the SFL tests, you can also book additional essential health check-ups: carried out in our clinics or in the comfort of your home. Each DA health screening package includes a 1-1 doctor consultation to review your health screening report, for medical advice and lifestyle recommendations to help you stay healthy and well.
